On the evening of Thursday, November 7, fans and admirers of American writer Richard Wright gathered to listen to excerpts of his works and to hear speakers talk about how his writing inspired them. Entrée to Black Paris co-founder Monique Y. Wells read from Wright's presentation at the First International Congress of Negro Writers and Artists, which was held in 1956 in Paris at the Sorbonne.
